Annabelle EUGENIA, creates abstract and ergonomic colored works
Her approach is instinctive and is based on different games of shapes, raw colors and on a work of the material. She uses mostly raw primary colors or mixed them directly on the canvas. Her paintings stimulate the imagination, mixing dynamic and random lines, blending and creating new forms and atmospheres. The goal is to bring beauty, joy and well-being to her audience. Guided by her sense of ergonomics and balance, she chooses an abstract expression within which many scenes come to life. It is the viewer who follows the different elements according to his subconscious, letting his own imagination reveal more figurative forms. He can escape into his daydreams and each canvas is then interpreted in different ways depending on the observer. Annabelle EUGENIA is strongly influenced by her skills as an Industrial Designer as well as by abstract expressionism, fauvism and the works of the great masters that she observed closely during her childhood in Paris. Many artists have imprinted her soul, such as Marc Rothko and his vibrant colors, Jackson Pollock and his overflowing energy, Georges Seurat, David Hockney and many others. The concept: 1 painting = 4 universes Most of the works are conceived according to a dynamic visual ergonomics which allows them to take advantage of the 4 directions of hanging of the same canvas. They can be viewed from each side as the viewer wishes. Depending on the side chosen, lines and tracings sketch new forms and elements: each canvas reveals 4 different universes that come to life in the imagination of the observer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- An atypical profile with multiple facets (entrepreneur, Industrial and Interactive Designer, painter, tourist guide passionate about history and musician in her spare time...) Annabelle EUGENIA has been living in Berlin since 2011 where she runs her company Berlinade Tours (www.berlinadetours.com). She offers alternative guided tours, off the beaten tourist track in French, English and German. She is now passionate about the history of Berlin, especially East Germany. Her main tour 'History and alternative tours' is among the best offers on the Airbnb Experiences Berlin platform. Her background: Her first trip to Berlin took place in 2006, while studying Industrial Design. She took advantage of a European Erasmus exchange in 2008, to study for a semester at the Halle Art School 'Burg Gebiechenstein'. It is this experience that will give her the desire to move to Berlin in 2011 for some time, before falling in love with the city and its unique energy and history. Following numerous professional experiences in various fields, she started painting in 2016. Originally from Paris, where she grew up and did most of her studies: after a preparatory year for art schools at the Académie Charpentier and a year at the Beaux-Arts de Brest where she discovered her talent as a painter. She then went on to study Industrial Design at Strate College Designers, where she graduated in 2010 with a Diploma 'Level 1 - French Grandes Ecoles' and with a specialization in interactive systems and products. Her graduation project 'Métrothérapie' implements a concept to develop the comfort of travelers in the Parisian Metro, thanks to light therapy and chromatherapy, it is to create well-being through light and colors, regulating the biological clock. The project was presented in 2011 at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris during the Observeur du Design 2012 exhibition, where Annabelle received the 3rd Public Prize awarded by more than 200,000 visitors, preceded by the Bouroullec brothers for a Ligne Roset sofa. The concept was selected among the pre-finalists of the Grands Prix de l'Innovation de la ville de PARIS in June 2012. During her studies, she participated in projects in partnership with large companies such as L'Oréal, Accenture, Legrand, Arte, the RATP, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the IRI (the Research and Innovation Institute of the Centre Georges Pompidou where she took part in a project for Microsoft alongside Bernard Stiegler). After her graduation in 2010, the Grandes Ecoles network, of which Strate College Designers is a part, allows her to study for a semester at the Paris business school ESCP Europe and to participate in the Entrepreneurship Chair program (Option E). The follow-up is supervised by the consulting firm EY (Erst & Young) with whom various projects of consulting, company launching and events organization are created in Paris and Shanghai. After numerous and diverse professional experiences and experiments, she is now happily developing her activity as a painter and is preparing different exhibitions in Berlin. |
